Weekly Check-in
The weekly check-in form has transformed the way I teach. However, it is important to note that developing strong relationships is the only way that this tool is effective in the classroom.
I am asking students to share how they are feeling, and if there is important information that I should be aware of that is potentially limiting them from retaining the information that is shared in class.

All of the information is then stored in a Google Sheets document. The data is also shared with our school counselors to collaborate on ongoing situations that arise.
When used appropriately, I am able to provide proactive approaches and strategies to alleviate any barriers that each student may be facing. This also offers me an opportunity to reach out and communicate 1-on-1 with the information they share.
